Will Study Abroad in Japan
De'Jia Long-Hillie, a Humanities Scholar, Class of 2020 has been awarded a Bridging Scholarship for Study Abroad in Japan, the US-Japan Bridging Foundation announced recently. De'Jia will study abroad at Nanzan University in Fall 2019.
Long-Hillie is one of seventy-eight undergraduate students from colleges and universities across the United States who have received awards to assist with their living expenses while they study in Japan during the Fall 2019 semester.
The Bridging Scholarship program is administered by the American Association of Teachers of Japanese (www.aatj.org), an international, 501(c)3 non-profit, non-political organization of teachers, scholars, and students of Japanese language, literature, and linguistics, which works to promote study of the Japanese language at all levels of instruction in the field and to broaden and deepen knowledge and appreciation of Japan and its culture.
