Anjali is a rising senior and Humanities Scholar majoring in media and communication studies with a minor in journalism.
At UMBC, I edit the opinion section of The Retriever Weekly student newspaper. In the past three years, I have interned at the UMBC Magazine and the Newseum as well as at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, where I am currently a communications intern. I spend much of my free time reading news, listening to music and traveling. I spent my fall 2019 semester abroad at King’s College London studying communications, film and interdisciplinary research. I plan to become a professional journalist upon graduation, and thus I am delighted to be joining The Baltimore Sun this summer as the MDDC Press Association’s Reese Cleghorn Intern working on the opinion desk.
